Exterior Features
Always original with its distinctive profile, key design features become even more integrated and premium. There are body-colored painted door mirrors, as well as a new Oberon finish for the door handles. And new jewel-like front and rear lamps, new front bumpers and the option of new 19-inch or-20 inch lightweight alloy wheels.

Entertainment and Technology
The new LR4 bristles with the latest technology, designed to please the ear, delight the eye and stimulate the imagination. And like all Land Rovers that have come before it, the operation of its entertainment and information systems never gets in the way of enjoying them. Included:
In-car entertainment like the harman/kardon® premium LOGIC7® audio system and the new Portable Audio Interface, which provides connectivity for an iPod® or other personal audio storage systems
- Available Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Satellite Navigation, which can store more data and includes off-road navigation support
- Standard alongside higher audio systems and navigation systems, the Infotainment Touch-screen provides all audio and navigation controls

Engines and Transmissions
Discovery 4's new engine sets new standards of performance with significantly increased power, Torque and refinement whilst reducing emissions and improved fuel economy.
Driving Technology
Advanced technology equips new Discovery 4 for almost any terrain. Terrain Response® allows the driver to reconfigure settings for optimum driveability on any surface while more confident and controlled descents are provided by the Hill Descent Control with the new Gradient Release Control. In addition, the Air suspension improves handling and helps provide a class-leading, car-like ride.
Safety and Security
Key to new Discovery 4's strength, safety and outstanding on and off-road dynamics is the Integrated Body-frame™. A patented Land Rover technology, it delivers more comfort, refinement and on-road attributes than a monocoque design, and sets new standards for off-road performance. Additional features include:
- Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
- Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) which supplies crucial extra brake pressure in an emergency
- Electronic Traction Control (ETC) which helps maintain optimum grip
- Optional Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) which indicates low tyre pressure
